How to extract pages from a PDF

Pull a few pages out of a long PDF into a new, smaller file you can share.

  • About 1 minute
  • Free, nothing uploaded
  • 4 steps

Steps

  1. Add your PDF

Drag your PDF onto the box, or click Choose a file. It opens right in your browser. Nothing is uploaded.

  2. Type the pages to keep

In Pages to keep, type the pages you want, like 2, 5-7, or 10- for page 10 to the end.

  3. Click Extract pages

The pages you listed are copied into one new PDF, in that order.

  4. Download the result

Click Download to save the new PDF. The original file is left exactly as it was.

Tips

  • Want each range as its own file instead? Use Split PDF, where every comma starts a new PDF.
  • The original PDF stays complete. Only the copy has fewer pages.

Questions

What's the difference between extract and split?
Extract makes one PDF with the pages you list. Split makes several PDFs, one per range or one per page.
Can I change the page order while extracting?
Pages come out in the order you type them. For drag and drop control, use Organize PDF.
