Okaysize

Compress and convert images

Shrink photos and graphics with smart automatic quality, or convert between JPG, PNG, WebP and AVIF. Nothing is uploaded.

Drop an image, or choose a file

JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, HEIC or GIF. Any size.

Your file never leaves your device

Auto picks the settings

Okaysize looks at the image first. Photos get a careful JPEG or WebP encode; graphics and screenshots get a reduced color palette that keeps edges crisp. You don't need to touch any settings.

Need a specific size?

Set a target size in Advanced and Okaysize finds the highest quality that fits. If even low quality is too big, it reduces the dimensions a little until it fits.

Privacy by default

Photos from phones often store your location. Okaysize removes location and camera details from every image it saves, and it never uploads the image anywhere.

Ready made presets

Each one is set to a platform's current limits, checked against its official help pages.

Questions

Can I convert HEIC photos from my iPhone?
Yes, in any modern browser. Safari reads HEIC natively; in Chrome, Edge and Firefox, Okaysize loads a HEIC decoder the first time you drop one. Either way the photo stays on your device.
Which format should I choose?
JPG works everywhere. WebP is smaller and works in all modern browsers and most apps. AVIF is smallest but some older apps can't open it. PNG is best for screenshots and graphics with sharp edges.
Is the quality loss visible?
At Auto settings, usually not at normal viewing size. The result screen shows the size saved, and you can compare it with the original before downloading.
