No quality loss
Trimming normally doesn't need re-encoding. Okaysize copies the frames you keep straight into the new file, so the picture and sound are identical to the original and it finishes in seconds. Only when the start falls between keyframes does it re-encode the first fraction of a second to cut precisely.
Why trim first
If a video is too big to send, trimming is the only change that costs no quality at all. A shorter clip also compresses far better if you still need it smaller afterwards.

- How do I choose the start and end?
- Enter them in seconds. The tool shows the video's length after you drop it, and checks that the start comes before the end.
- Will the trimmed video be lower quality?
- No. The part you keep is copied as it is. Location and device data is removed by default.
