Remove sound from video

Strip the sound from a video in seconds. The picture is copied as it is, so it looks exactly like the original.

Drop a video, or choose a file

MP4, MOV, WebM, or MKV. Any size.

Your file never leaves your device

Instant and lossless

Removing audio doesn't touch the picture. Okaysize copies the video stream into a new MP4 without the sound track, so it finishes almost instantly at any length and with no quality loss.

Smaller, too

The sound track is usually a small part of a video, but removing it still trims a little off the size. To shrink a video properly, use Compress video after.

How to remove audio from a video

  1. Add your video. Drag the video onto the box, or click Choose a file.
  2. Click Remove sound. There's nothing to set. The audio track is removed and the picture is copied as it is whenever possible.
  3. Download the result. Click Download to save the silent MP4. The original file is left exactly as it was.
