Who we are

Okaysize (okaysize.com) is operated by Vumvum LLC, Arizona, USA ("we", "us"). Contact us at help@okaysize.com for any privacy question or request.

Your files

Files you process with Okaysize are read and processed entirely on your device, in your browser. They are never uploaded to our servers or to anyone else, and we cannot see them. Results are saved directly to your device. We don't store, scan or analyze your files, their names or their metadata.

What we collect

• Anonymous usage events. We use a self-hosted, cookieless analytics tool (Umami) to count page views and tool events, such as "video compressed", with the tool name, a rough file size bucket, the processing engine, a duration bucket, the size reduction percentage and an error category if something failed. These events never include file names, contents, dimensions, durations or metadata, and are not used to identify you.
• Error reports. If a page breaks, we may receive a technical error report (browser, page and error type). Reports are filtered so they never contain file data or file names.
• Messages you send us. If you contact us, we keep your message and email address so we can reply, plus the browser and error type you choose to include.
• Server logs. Our servers and our CDN provider (Cloudflare) briefly log standard request data such as IP address and user agent to keep the site secure and working.
• Pro accounts (when available). Your email address, sign in records, subscription status and any presets you save. Payments are handled by our payment provider, which acts as the seller; we never see your full card details.

Advertising

Free pages may show ads from Google AdSense. Where the law requires it, ads and any related cookies load only after you consent through our consent banner, and you can change your choice at any time. Ad partners may use cookies or similar technologies to measure and personalize ads, according to their own policies. We honor Global Privacy Control signals, and US visitors can opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information through the Do Not Sell or Share link. Pro users see no ads.

Legal bases (EEA, UK and Switzerland)

We rely on legitimate interests for anonymous analytics, security logs and error reports; on consent for advertising cookies; and on contract for Pro accounts and billing.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, to object to or restrict processing, and to withdraw consent. Pro users can export or permanently delete their account from the account page. For anything else, email help@okaysize.com and we'll respond within 30 days. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Retention

Analytics events are kept in aggregate. Messages are kept as long as needed to help you and then deleted. Account data is deleted when you delete your account, except where we must keep billing records by law.

Children

Okaysize is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their personal data.

Changes

We'll update this page when our practices change and show the date at the top. Material changes for Pro users will be emailed in advance.
