PNG keeps text and lines perfectly sharp, which suits documents, slides, and diagrams. For photo heavy pages, PDF to JPG gives much smaller files.

Screen is 100 dpi, Standard 150, and Print 300. A multi page PDF gives a ZIP with one PNG per page.
