  • Why files fail on UPSC

UPSC needs at least 350 × 350 px and at least 20 KB, and some 2026 notices cap the signature at 100 KB. A cropped signature photo is often too small.

  • What this preset does

This preset fits your whole signature on a white 500 × 500 square, never cropping it, and lands the JPG between 20 and 100 KB, adding harmless padding data if needed.

Questions

What is the UPSC signature size?

JPG, 20 to 300 KB, 350 × 350 to 1000 × 1000 pixels, per UPSC's FAQ. Some exams (like CAPF 2026) cap it at 100 KB.

How should I sign?

On white paper, preferably with a black ink pen, so it scans clearly.

My exam asks for more than one signature in the image. Does this work?

Yes. Sign as your notice asks on one sheet, photograph it, and this preset fits the whole thing without cropping.
