How to compare two PDFs
- Choose the original. Under Original, click Choose PDF and pick the earlier version.
- Choose the changed version. Under Changed version, click Choose PDF and pick the newer one.
- Click Compare PDFs. You'll see how many pages changed and how many words were added and removed.
- Review the changes. Green words were added, red were removed. Turn on Show only pages that changed to skip identical pages.
- Save a report. Click Download comparison for a report you can open in any browser or share.
Questions
- Does it compare images and layout?
- No, only the text. Formatting changes that don't change the words won't show up.
- My PDFs are scans
- Make them searchable with OCR PDF first, then compare.
- Are my files uploaded?
- No. Both are compared on your device.
