Compress PDF to under 1 MB
Shrink a PDF to under 1 MB for applications and portals with strict limits.

PDF files of any size.
Your file never leaves your device
Why files fail
Visa, job and university portals often allow only 1 MB per document. A few scanned pages can be ten times that.
What this preset does
This preset uses strong image compression and lower image resolution until the PDF is under 1 MB. If text alone is over 1 MB, it says so instead of returning a worse file.
Questions
- Can every PDF get under 1 MB?
- Most scanned and photo PDFs can. A very long text document may not, because text can't be compressed much further.
- Will scans stay readable?
- Yes for normal documents. Check small print in the result before submitting.
- Is my document uploaded?
- No. Everything happens on your device.
