White-out is not redaction
White-out covers content visually; the original is still in the file underneath. To remove private information for good, use Redact PDF.
How to edit a PDF
- Add your PDF. Drag your PDF onto the box, or click Choose a file. It opens right in your browser. Nothing is uploaded.
- Add text. Click Text to add a text box. Type in the panel below the page, and set its size and color there.
- Add an image or signature. Click Image to place a logo or photo, or Signature to draw, type, or upload one.
- Cover something with white-out. Click White-out, then drag across the area to cover. Click it again to stop drawing.
- Move and resize. Drag items to move them and drag a corner to resize. Use the thumbnails to switch pages.
- Click Save PDF. Your changes are drawn into the PDF on your device, then click Download.
Questions
- Can I change the existing text?
- Okaysize adds new text on top. To replace a word, white-out the old one and type over it.
- Which fonts are available?
- Text uses a clean Helvetica in black, blue, or red, in any size.
- Is my PDF uploaded?
- No. Everything happens in your browser.
